Our awards
We are honoured to have achieved several awards as well as Jekka receiving personal recognition for her work in Horticulture over the last three decades.
62 RHS Gold Medals
We exhibited at numerous RHS Flower shows and local flower shows from 1991 to 2009 including RHS Chelsea Flower Show, RHS Hampton Court Flower show, RHS Tatton Flower show and Bath flower show were we first started. In this time, we were awarded 62 RHS Gold medals including 14 Gold’s at RHS Chelsea Flower Show and two consecutive Tudor Rose Awards, for the best exhibit at the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show in 2007 and 2008.
Our 2009 Chelsea exhibit was awarded the RHS Lawrence Medal, which is given to the best floral exhibit show to the RHS in that year. This was a first for Herbs and for Organic plants certified by the Soil Association.
Over 1 million copies sold
Jekka has had 8 books published including Jekka’s Complete Herb Book, Seeds, Goodenough to Eat, and Jekka’s Herb Cookbook.
Jekka's Complete Herb Book, first published in 1994, has now sold over 1 million copies world wide.
Her new book ‘A Pocketful of Herbs’ was published in March 2019.
Awarded the Victoria Medal of Honour
Awarded the Victoria Medal of Honour for her work in the field, Jekka has been awarded the highest honour bestowed on British horticulturists.
Jekka is Vice President of the RHS, Vice President of the Herb Society and an RHS Ambassador.
Jekka was also awarded the Gardeners Media Guild Life Time Achievement Award in 2012.
