Medicinal Herbs
Herb plants have many medicinal properties that have been known and used since man has been on this planet. The term officinalis is associated with the use of herbs by 18th century surgeon-apothecaries for medical purposes. These practitioners were then given the kings writ and became the modern day GP we know today. Please note, we are not herbalists at Jekka's and therefore, please seek appropriate professional advice before taking any herbs as medicines. For more information please see Jekka's Guide to Medicinal Herbs.
Jekka's Herbs
We have been lovingly trialling, growing and propagating herb plants on the herb farm at Jekka’s for over 30 years. We follow sustainable, organic and environmentally sensitive practices and all of our herbs are grown for the British garden. You can read more about our Sustainability Approach in one of Jekka's Blogs or in Jekka's Guide to Growing Herbs in a Changing Climate.
How to buy Jekka's Herbs
Seeds are available through our online shop and plants are available from the herb farm.
