Winter feast at Jekka's
Winter is on its way, and our herb garden is settling into the colder season. With frosts forecast, we are tucking up the young herb plants at night and lifting the fleece each morning to keep the air flowing. A simple trick to help prevent mildew in this damp English weather.
We are lucky to share the herb farm with so many garden birds. We leave the seed heads of Elecampane, Fennel and Teasel for them to feast on through the winter. Though, some still tap on the windows asking for extra treats.
