Jekka's Bee & Pollinator Herb Days

Join us for the second in the series of Jekka’s Herb Days! We’re delighted to invite you to Jekka’s Bee & Pollinator Herb Days, taking place on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th June.

This special event focuses on pollinators that help make healthy, tasty and strong herbs. We have a fantastic line-up of experts, including renowned herb grower Jekka McVicar, Beekeeping expert Richard Rickitt, Pollinator expert Jean Vernon and award winning Garden Designer Paul Hervey Brookes.

You’ll also have the chance to explore Jekka’s Herbetum and Jekka's Herb Garden with Bee & Pollinator walks, led by both Richard Rickitt and Jean Vernon. Read Jean's guide to planting herbs for bees & pollinators.

We are home to 10 different types of Bumble bee and several Solitary bees, as well as our Honey bees. The benefits of growing our herbs sustainable and organically for 40+years has created a wonderful environment for our pollinators.

The South Gloucestershire Beekeeping Association will also be joining us to share insights into bee-keeping and practical guidance on how to look after your bees.

And Chiki Monkey, a Bristol-based caterer, will be back offering a creative and mouth watering plant-based menu inspired by Middle Eastern cuisine throughout the day.

As a proud independent family business, we love to support local artisans! For this event, we’re delighted to welcome back Amy West and Seilich, familiar faces from Jekka’s HerbFest. We’re also joined by Bees Wax Alchemy, who uses beeswax from their own hives to create beautiful candles and products.

A wonderful review from our last Herb Day event:

"I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your Medicinal Herb Day last week. I enjoyed Herb Fest in 2021 and this time having a particular theme made the day a bit different.   I found all the speakers interesting and informative, without being heavy going for a lay-person such as myself.  The cake for elevenses and lunch from Chiki Monkey were delicious.  At £25, the tickets were affordable, which meant I could buy herbs and also treat myself to a few purchases from the stalls.  You all worked very hard to make it a success and it was certainly worth the trip down from Lancashire.  I look forward to the next one!"
