Celebrate Pollinators & Summer with Jekka's

We were delighted to host Jekka's How to Use Herbs Master Class this week, where participants explored the culinary and medicinal use of herbs with both Jekka and Alistair. The master class taught about the different tastes of herbs, how to prepare simple dishes and how to preserve them for future use.

During the class, we picked herbs for use in our lunch during Jekka's Herbetum tour, which included Jekka's Summer Rolls and Jekka’s Kuku Sabzi. On the tour we saw a variety of pollinators from honey bees and bumble bees to baby lady birds and a beautiful tiger moth.

Jekka's range of Basils are extremely popular as they not only look good, taste fantastic but are wonderful for your pollinators.

Jekka's June Herb Day

Join us for the second in the series of Jekka’s Herb Days! We’re delighted to invite you to Jekka’s Bee & Pollinator Herb Days, taking place on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th June. This special event focuses on pollinators that help make healthy, tasty and strong herbs.

We have a fantastic line-up of experts, including renowned herb grower Jekka McVicar, beekeeping expert Richard Rickitt, pollinator expert Jean Vernon and award winning Garden Designer Paul Hervey Brookes.

We will be joined by a selection of artisan stalls: Amy West, Seilich, and Bees Wax Alchemy. The South Gloucestershire Beekeeping Association will also be joining us to share insights into bee-keeping and practical guidance on how to look after your bees. For food, a Bristol-based caterer, Chiki Monkey, will be back offering a creative and mouth watering plant-based menu.
