At our herb master class, Mark Diacono will share with you the pleasure of growing the more unusual herbs, those flavours beyond the supermarket, and the varieties that offer something different from the familiar.
We'll enjoy a tour of Jekka's Herbetum, focusing on the ‘unexpected’ herbs such as anise hyssop, ginger rosemary and salad burnet - and you’ll find out how they might work in your garden and what they need to help them flourish. You’ll also discover how to enjoy the best of them in your kitchen.
There will also be hands-on time, making herby delights towards lunch and to take away, as well as afternoon tastings of drinks including cocktails and non-alcoholic refreshers.
By the end of the day, you’ll be familiar with a whole range of herbs for your garden, and thrown the kitchen door wide open to new flavours.

- Friends of Jekka's Master Classes are £190 per person.
- Maximum number of participants: 12
- Course duration: 10 am to 4 pm. However, we ask attendees to arrive at 9.45 am for registration and homemade cake. Also, you might not wish to leave exactly on 4 pm if you wish to continue talking and asking questions about bees.
